1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using VaultScrub (“the Software”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.

2. License Grant

Subject to these terms and payment of applicable fees, VaultScrub grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for your personal or internal business purposes.

• Free Tier: You may use VaultScrub with limited features at no cost, subject to the usage limits displayed in the application
• Pro License: A paid license unlocks additional features and removes usage limits for the duration of the license period

3. Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the Software without authorization
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the Software to violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the Software to third parties
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any license validation mechanisms

4. Intellectual Property

The Software and all associated intellectual property rights are and remain the exclusive property of VaultScrub. These terms do not grant you any rights to trademarks, service marks, or trade names of VaultScrub.

5. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all documents and data you process with VaultScrub. The Software processes your data locally on your device and does not claim any rights to your content. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

6. Third-Party Services

VaultScrub may integrate with third-party services (cloud AI providers, Stripe for payments). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. VaultScrub is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. VaultScrub does not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that all personally identifiable information will be detected and redacted. You are responsible for reviewing redacted documents before sharing them.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VaultScrub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license at any time if you breach these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies. Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be reflected in the application and on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
