VAULTSCRUB FOR IPHONE & IPAD

Privacy Policy

Your pictures stay on your iPhone or iPad while you edit. You choose what to copy or share.

About this policy

This policy covers VaultScrub for iPhone and iPad, including the editor you open with “Scrub with VaultScrub” in the Share menu. Dreamward LLC makes the app. The website and desktop app have a separate privacy policy, linked below.

What stays on your device

VaultScrub reads and edits pictures on your iPhone or iPad using Apple’s built-in tools. While you edit, it does not send your pictures, the words it finds, your searches, or your changes to us, to an AI service, or to another company for processing. We do not use this content to train AI.

There is no account, advertising, or tracking in the app. It does not send us records of your activity, numbers that identify your device, or reports of app crashes. Apple may collect information through the App Store, TestFlight, or your settings for sharing device problem reports under Apple’s own policies.

You choose which pictures to open

VaultScrub opens the picture you choose in Photos or Files. It does not search your whole photo library or watch for new screenshots. If your chosen picture is stored in iCloud or another online service, that service may download it to your device.

Saving an edited picture to Photos may require your permission. You can change permissions in your iPhone or iPad Settings. To try the app without using a personal picture, open the example screenshot.

Pro purchases and free tries

Apple handles Pro purchases. VaultScrub checks with the App Store to load prices, confirm purchases, and restore access. We do not receive your payment card details. Your pictures and saved private text are not sent with these checks.

Your device stores Pro access and up to five digital fingerprints of images used for free Pro tries. These fingerprints let the app recognize the same file again without storing the picture. They stay on this device, are not used for tracking, and may remain after you delete the app.

Your saved private text

My private text is an optional list of names and details you want the app to help you find. It is kept in your device’s protected storage. VaultScrub and its Share-menu editor use the same list while the device is unlocked. The list is not sent to us, copied through iCloud, or transferred to a different device.

To change or delete the list, open Settings → My private text. You can also reach it from Suggestions. Saving an item does not hide anything by itself—you choose what to hide.

Deleting the app may leave this list on your device. To remove it too, tap Delete my list before deleting VaultScrub. Deleting the list does not uncover anything you already hid in a picture.

What happens when you close a picture

VaultScrub keeps your open picture, the words it finds, and your edits only while you work on it. Closing the picture clears them from the editor. The app does not save a copy of your original or a history of your work.

When you copy or share, the app briefly saves a protected file of the edited picture. It removes that file after copying, when you close the Share menu, or when you close the picture. If the app stops unexpectedly, it removes leftover files that are more than an hour old the next time it opens. Your device and other apps may keep their own copies.

Copying and sharing

Copy image copies only your edited picture. Covered details are removed from that copy. When Apple’s Handoff is on, Universal Clipboard can make this edited copy available to your nearby Mac, iPad, or iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account. You can still paste it after closing VaultScrub. Copy something else to replace it. VaultScrub does not read things you copied earlier.

Share sends only your edited picture to the app or place you choose. That app or service handles the picture under its own settings and privacy rules. For example, saving to an online photo or file service may copy it to your other devices. These services are separate from VaultScrub.

Your original and other copies

Your original picture stays where it was and is not changed. Deleting VaultScrub removes the app’s files, but the saved private-text list may remain as explained above.

Closing or deleting VaultScrub does not delete your original, pictures you saved or sent, a picture you can still paste, or backups. To manage those copies, use the app or service where they are stored. We cannot remove pictures from people you sent them to.

Getting help and visiting our website

If you email support@vaultscrub.com, we receive your email address, your message, and any files you attach. We use them to help you. Cover private details before sending us a picture.
